Privacy policy
1. The short version
You can read this site without an account, and we have no newsletter or contact form. We do not use advertising cookies. Our host keeps short-lived server logs, we count visits with privacy-friendly analytics, and Amazon sets its own cookies once you click through to it. The rest of this page sets out the details, as UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 require.
2. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is:
Stichting De Fryske Wrâld (Greenhouse Compare), represented by Auke de Haan
Splitting 1, 9281 KJ Harkema, the Netherlands
Email: info@kaffeebewertung.de
3. Server logs
Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., records technical data your browser sends with every request: browser type and version, operating system, referring page, time of the request and IP address. We need this to run the site securely and to fix faults, which is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR. We do not combine these logs with any other data. Vercel processes data in the United States under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
4. Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure loading speed. They set no cookies and store no IP addresses, so we cannot identify you from them. Our legal basis is legitimate interest in knowing which pages people read and keeping the site fast. Find out more in Vercel's privacy policy.
5. Affiliate links (Amazon)
This site takes part in the Amazon EU Associates Programme. When you click one of our Amazon links, you leave this site and Amazon may set cookies to record that the visit came from us, so it can pay us a commission. We never see who you are or what you buy. Amazon handles that data as its own controller, see the Amazon.co.uk privacy notice. More on how we earn money: affiliate disclosure.
6. Other retailers
Right now our affiliate links only go to Amazon.co.uk. If we add other UK retailers, we will update this page first.
7. Email
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and we delete the thread once the matter is closed.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold on you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it or object to its use. Email us at the address above and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
